Enjoy a leisurely walk through Mt Holdsworth and experience New Zealand's capital country unspoilt beauty!

Whether you are an experienced tramper, or want just want to view 100% pure New Zealand with the minimum of effort, there is something for you! Your walk is guided by Gareth the manager, and Flirt his trusty dog. Only 20 minutes drive from Masterton centre, you are taken to the base of Mount Holdsworth, 1,700 metre peak. From there, choose one of the following options:

Loop Walk - a one hour gentle stroll, with picnic tea at Donnelly's Flats. For everyone from 5 years to 85 years. $20pp

Atiwhakatu track - a 2 hour out and back trek, following the river with some magnificent views up to Mount Holdsworth. Picnic lunch at the swing bridge half way to Atiwhakatu lodge. Some steep areas, requires a medium level of fitness. $30pp

Mountain House Loop - a 4 hour walk which follows the river and then climbs up to Mountain House. At the top you follow the Gentle Annie track back home with magnificent views of the Wairarapa valley, and on a clear day, Holdsworth Lodge and Holdsworth Peak. Only for the fit and adventurous! $50pp
